When I first started publishing a couple of years ago, I had no idea what I was doing. I simply poured my heart into the keys and went from there.
I didn’t know what was expected of me.
I didn’t know what length you wanted.
I didn’t know what ending was acceptable, or even what genre I should put the books under.
All I knew is that I had to get the stories out of my head, and that writing wasn’t something I had a choice in. Words, characters and dialogue have always pestered me, and it got to the point where I knew if I didn’t write, I would in one way or another… explode.
I have been truly humbled that you cared about the characters enough to encourage me to keep writing, even when at times I didn’t fulfil your expectations. I never imagined anyone other than myself would care for the characters, and the fact that many of you have, has made me squeal with delight many times over.
Paula, Pennie, Daisy and Delilah. The support and love I’ve had from these four extraordinary women alone, will always stay with me. Your encouragement and excitement for my writing has quite simply kept me going when at times it would have been easier to shut the laptop and walk away. We were strangers and yet some how the books brought us together, and I just think... how awesome is that?!
Lastly to all my readers, thank you for taking a moment out of your life to enter my world of stories. Time is one of the most precious things we have, and the fact that you are sharing yours with me - means so very much.
With love & gratitude
Samantha
