Writing at times can be a lonely journey. I've locked myself away in my dark and dusty world many times, sitting for hours on end writing and bringing to life the characters in my mind... never knowing if anyone would like them, but just knowing that this was something I had to do.
Once you publish, out of no where all these amazing people enter your world and fill it with light - randomly, they decide to take you into their world, download your book and become immersed in the characters you've created - some readers loving them almost as much as you do.
I met Crazy Daisy on goodreads back in February. I don't know how she found me, but I'm so grateful she did! Because all of a sudden she started reading the Unstoppable series...and updating her thoughts and feelings about it as she read through the books. I tell you, that day still sticks with me now, because I felt like I was right there with her - reliving the story, just as excited as her to see what she would discover next and what she would think as she turned the next page of her Kindle.
Daisy was excited about my writing, and that little bit of encouragement made me step back and go WOW, I am writing and someone other than little old me is enjoying my books - loving them even. What?!
The other day, I emailed Daisy to thank her for her encouragement & to let her know that the next book in my series will be out very soon.
From there Daisy astounded me even more...
My Facebook page went from 28 likes to over 140 in almost hours, she took the time out of her busy schedule to design the amazing artwork you see below, and she posted a heap of links on her Facebook page about me and my books encouraging other readers and writers to share the love.
All for FREE. All because she could. All because she wanted too.
Daisy? I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's people like you - who encourage little unknown writers like me to keep going no matter what.
Please show Daisy some love, like, tweet and share. Why? Because you can.
With gratitude
Samantha
